MassEffect - Export Data
Common Uses:
- Find the Salesforce ID fields of the users and roles to use for inserts/update
- Find the Salesforce ID's of objects that will become parent ID’s for other objects being inserted/updated
- Export data for reporting
- Find the Salesforce ID's of objects to mass delete
- Export data, make modifications in the spreadsheet and then upload the changes.
Step 1. Select the Export Operation
- To export the contents of a table, right click on the table name
- Choose Export Table
- Export pop interface will appear


Step 2. Choose which records to export
- Choose to export "ALL" records in an object or "Use Conditions" to specific records based on conditions.

Step 3. Select fields to export
- Manually select/de-select fields to include in/exclude from the export by checking/unchecking the boxes to the left of the field
- "Check All" will select all accessible fields to be included in the export
- "Clear" will de-select all fields

Step 4. Process Export & Name the file

"Export Data" will begin the export process. A file save pop up will appear; choose the file save location and name the file.
"Object Download Status" shows the expected time of the export.
"Load Mapping" is clicked to load a previously saved export scenrario.
"Save Mapping" will save the set conditions and the fields selected to export for future use or a scheduled export.
"Close" will close the export data pop up interface.
Once the export is complete a pop up will show 2 links; one link to the logfile (useful if the export completes with errors) and one link to the file location.

The data from Salesforce could be retrieved at up to 100 records per second but will depend on current internet traffic.
